Heat oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly grease baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
In large bowl, beat shortening and sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs until creamy.
In medium bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Stir into creamed until blended.
Stir in cereal, butterscotch chips and coconut until combined. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until golden. Let cool for 2 minutes on sheet, then transfer to rack and cool completely.
