Warm up this winter with this decadent hot cocoa that’s best enjoyed with family and friends.
Pour 3/4 cup (175 mL) hot water into 6-quart (6 L) saucepan set over medium heat. Add sugar, cocoa and salt. Simmer, stirring constantly, for 5 to 10 minutes or until mixture comes to boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low. Add milk, stirring often, until steaming and heated through (do not boil).
Stir in chocolate chips; simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until smooth and melted. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Serve hot.
Snowman Garnish: Melt 1/4 cup (50 mL) HERSHEY’S CHIPITS Pure Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. Transfer to piping bag; set aside. Reserve 1/4 cup (50 mL) HERSHEY’S CHIPITS Pure Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. Skewer 3 marshmallows on a toothpick or BBQ stick. Attach 2 pretzel sticks for arms with melted chocolate and 3 HERSHEY’S CHIPITS Pure Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips for buttons. Pipe a nose and mouth on snowman with melted chocolate.
